Thursday, March 15th

  • Creek Week Kick-Off Cleanup with Greensboro Swarm
    • 3PM-5PM
    •  Latham Park, 905 Cridland Rd, Greensboro, NC 27401.
    • Clean up will take place between Cridland Rd and Wendover Ave. Join the Greensboro Swarm coaches, players, and staff and help clean up our streams! RSVP to guilfordcreekweek@gmail.com and include yourself or your organization and indicate how many participants will be attending.

Saturday, March 17th

  • Stream Cleanup at the Greensboro Science Center
    • 10AM-12PM
    • 4301 Lawndale Dr, Greensboro
    • Meet up with staff and volunteers in the Greensboro Science Center parking lot to help clean the creek that runs behind their parking lot.
  • Adopt-a-Stream Cleanup with Get:Outdoors Paddlesports
    • 9AM-1PM
    • From intersection of Starmount Dr and N. Holden Rd to W Market St, Greensboro.

  • Guilford Creek Week Kick-Off Party
    • 10AM-1PM
    • Armstrong Park, 305 E Parkway Ave, High Point
    • Join City of High Point staff for a morning of creek crawling, scavenger hunting, arts and crafts, Greensboro’s Eco Bus, and much more!
    • Interested participants will be given supplies to perform a creek cleanup along the greenway during this event.

Friday, March 23rd

  • UNCG Campus Wetlands Planting Day
    • 1PM-4PM
    • UNCG Campus
    • Join faculty and students at the UNCG Research Wetlands to help clean up, prepare soil and begin planting native wetland plants on site.
    • There will be limited space held for community volunteers. Please express interest to volunteer by signing up through the UNCG wetlands website at: http://wetlands.uncg.edu.
  • Aquatic Field Day & Clean up
    • 3-6:00PM
    • Northeast Park, 3421 NE Park Dr, Gibsonville,
    • Family-friendly event, come out and learn about out your creeks and streams! Play some games, learn about recreational paddle opportunities, make a recycled art project, and learn about aquatic life.
    • Join us at 4:30PM for a stream cleanup at Reedy Fork Creek and Buffalo Creek! Stormwater SMART,  Guilford County Environmental Services and Guilford County Parks and Recreation will be on site to help lead.

Saturday, March 24th

  • Adopt-a-Stream Cleanup with Get:Outdoors Paddlesports
    • 9AM-1PM
    • From Wesley Long Hospital on N Elam Ave to Friendly Ave, Greensboro.
