What is a rain barrel?
A rain barrel is a system that collects and stores rainwater from your roof that would otherwise be lost to runoff and diverted to storm drains and streams.
Why a Rain Barrel?
If you collect rainwater, you’ll be able to keep watering and nourishing your garden with the rain that you collect. So you save money! You’ll also help to reduce runoff pollution. When it rains, runoff picks up soil, fertilizer, oil, pesticides and other contaminants and pushes them into other areas of the landscape.
