About Guilford Creek Week

Guilford Creek Week is an initiative celebrating the importance, impact and influence of the creeks and waterways of Guilford County and all the municipalities within.

Guilford Creek Week is a collaborative effort between High Point, Greensboro, Guilford County, and many other local businesses, government entities, and non-profits working together to emphasize the importance and benefits of clean and healthy local waters. We do this through offering many fun, often free, educational, hands-on, and recreational opportunities. We are dedicated to helping raise awareness about the vital role that our local waters play in our everyday lives and how the health of that water can have a direct impact on our community.

During Creek Week we invite everyone to come out to the many opportunities we offer.

In the past we have had things like:

  • Creek cleanups helping remove trash from our local waterways
  • Guided Hikes all over the county
  • Water themed painting, crafts and art classes
  • Water themed storytimes and library activities
